COP12

COP12: Ergonomic furniture

The COP12 is the first checkout furniture designed to be as ergonomic as possible for checkout staff. Working at an angle to make it easier to scan items, the COP12 was designed in collaboration with an occupational physician to combat Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSD), which are responsible for a large number of work stoppages and a breakdown in service continuity for cashiers. The COP12 is equipped with a narrow, inclined rear tray with stainless steel rollers, to limit the effort required when loading and unloading products. The COP12 is available in 2 belt lengths, 1500mm (COP12-S) and 1800mm (COP12-L), depending on the size and type of business.

To complete the range of ergonomic options, it is possible to adapt the checkout process using scanners/scales integrated into the stainless steel platform, to work on posture by adding ergonomic folding seats fixed to the unit, or to integrate a system of jacks to adapt the height of the unit. Over the last 10 years, COPDIS has developed a system of electric jacks that allow the furniture to be raised or lowered at the touch of a button. This makes it possible to adapt the height of the unit to the needs of PRMs, and to have a lower unit for heavy items. Finally, the rear of the COP12 is designed so that customers with trolleys carrying heavy, bulky items can pass behind the unit, allowing the operator to move the trolleys up and down.

The COP12 is adaptable to your business, in terms of colour (RAL to choose from), cash options (cash drawer, cash management, etc.), work ergonomics (POS layout with storage and drawers, screen support poles, removable seats, etc.) and peripheral cash desk accessories (cylindrical lanterns, bag hooks, display units along the conveyor belt, confectionery units, etc.).
